Event 4 - Tallinn, 7-9 december 2022
ORGANIZERS —>>> I MUSIC ESTONIA I
1. The hotel
You will be staying at Hektor Container Hotel Tallinn (Telliskivi 62) which is located right next to the Telliskivi Creative District. As this is the final event, you will be treated as kings and queens and will luxuriously enjoy single rooms (that is containers), breakfast included. Personal reflection time.
THE HUB - Telliskivi
During your stay in Tallinn, our activities will evolve around the cosy Music Estonia seminar room which is located in the Telliskivi Creative District (Telliskivi 60a/1). Same entrance as FIKA café – destiny, right! From there you come to the second floor and you have to call 68+phone symbol from the locked door on the staircase. Look for the Music Estonia sign on the door at the end of the corridor on the left. We will walk to the office together on the first evening.
2. Directions
The hotel is easily reachable from the airport by tram (No 4), you will just have to make a tiny change for tram No 1 or No 2 at Hobujaama stop, same direction. You can buy the tram ticket either online (select QR ticket) or from the tram by using your contactless bank card (more info here, works ONLY with the validator next to the first door of the tram).
Here is a video tutorial from the lovely Music Estonia team. It is not possible to buy tickets with cash from the driver nor from the tram stops. The QR code ticket has to be validated and also works only with the first validator of the tram.
If you need a receipt for your accounting (you will not receive it when paying cashless directly in the tram) then you can receive it afterwards following these instructions.
Come off at Telliskivi stop and you will already see the hotel when crossing the tramway.
For taxi services, the easiest is to use BOLT, Uber is also available but more expensive and with less drivers.

10:00 Workshop by Marcus and Alex
“This exploratory workshop will guide you through an introspective and collaborative process in a playful way. Since it is early morning, we start with two warm-up exercises focusing on the community and the self. In the third part we will create a live performance together. Where you usually apply your own language and sensory tools in your daily operations and creativity process, this performance limits your way of expressing your creativity by not using your spoken language or usual sensors. I believe that we will get some good laughs and some aha moments. Prepare to act silly, childish and playful from a place of emotions.”

1. outstanding achievements of the artist
2. support structure of the artist (representative of the artist, labels, agents etc)
3. what kind of collaborations you are looking for from the Baltic region
Your pitches will be heard and commented by a panel of experts, including:
Ingrid Stroom,
Ingrid Kohtla and a Thea Zaitsev – founder and CEO of Tier Music (Management and Publishing), Music Estonia Board Member.

Address
The whole event will be held at Dworek Białoprądnicki at Papiernicza st. no. 2. It’s 20 minutes walking from the hotel.
The hotel
All of you will be sleeping at Krowodrza hotel, Wybickiego st. no 3b.
I’ve booked double rooms for most of you, breakfast is included.
As agreed we’ll be paying for three nights from the project budget, so those of you who stay longer - please do not forget to pay the additional nights:)
Directions
If you are coming by plane - there’s a train going from the airport to the City center. You can purchase the ticket in the ticket machine on the train. There’s only one way from there so you can’t go into the wrong train, don’t worry. Your destination is KRAKÓW ŁOBZÓW, it's the fifth stop from the Airport, should take around 12 minutes to get there but hey, it’s a polish train, you never know. The ticket price is 14 PLN, which is around 3 EUR.
When you get out of the train, you’ll have to go downstairs, turn right, go out of the tunnel, turn right and walk straight ahead for 1 km, the hotel will be on your right hand side.
If you’re coming by train/bus - you’ll most probably arrive at Kraków main station. It’s around half an hour walk to get to the hotel so I advise you to take a bus. Departure stop: Dworzec Główny Zachód (main station west), Pawia street 5 and your destination stop is called WYBICKIEGO. It’s the fifth stop from the station.
If you’re coming by car - well, that’s easy

Friday, 26.08
START: 10.30 AM
The program starts at 10.30 AM with speedmeeting session so both groups can start making new connections. Dinner will be around 1:15PM. After dinner you’ll have a meeting with Dominik Jaworski who will talk about the journey from strategy to action, businesswise (90 minutes). After that you’ll meet Olena Prokhorets who will talk about Pomelody.com and use it as an example of changing a crazy idea into a well functioning music business (90 minutes). Then you’ll have some time for yourself but it would be great if you’ll stay around as Michał and I will… play a concert that evening on a small but nice openair stage. We didn’t plan it, seriously:)
Saturday, 27.08
START: 10.30
You’ll spend the whole day with Magda Chołyst who has prepared for you. Here’s what she wrote:
What is a strategy really?
What elements are crucial for the development of artistic potential, a stable music career and market efficiency?Strategy is the key word in the music industry. But do we all have access to the same definitions and tools? We invite you to a team-based workshop that will allow participants to create prototypes of development strategies in the music industry. Our meeting will be an interactive educational journey full of surprising twists and bold experiments that will be used to test and consolidate knowledge about the most important strategic modules: vision, mission, values, goals and tactics. Ahead of us is a huge dose of knowledge, a lot of fun and an excuse for motivated work for the next few months.
Dinner will be at 1:15 PM, too. We will end the workshop around 6PM and you - whoever will still have energy to do that - will have a tour with a professional guide so you can see the historical city center. After that we will finally sit down, have some beer and relax. We will find a good spot to do that depending on the weather.
3.tips
In most of the places you can easily pay by card so, unless you want to buy fresh strawberries from a lady on the market, there is no need to change cash to PLN.
Things like uber or bolt are also quite popular here so, if you like, you can skip the “directions” part (you’ve already read it, haven’t you?:P) and just take a cab. From both train stations to the hotel and from the hotel to the venue it shouldn’t cost more than 5-7 Euro. From the Airport it will be a bit more expensive, though.
don’t drink beer on the streets, even in a paper bag:)
